Great Yarmouth's newest tourist attraction, The Courtyard at Main Cross Road, which opens at Easter, has announced the formation of a Clay Academy as it welcomes another talented artist to its unique environment where visitors will be able to watch artisans at work and buy their wares.

THE Easter week opening date for The Courtyard has now been confirmed as Monday, March 29th, prior to the Easter Bank Holiday Weekend.

Great Yarmouth's newest tourist attraction, The Courtyard has welcomed another new craftsperson to its eclectic mix of artisans whose work and wares will go on show to the public from Easter this year.

Michelle Payne, owner of the award-winning The Upstairs Gallery at Beccles, has announced she is taking over a large first floor space at The Courtyard to become The Upstairs Gallery Norfolk at The Courtyard.

On Thursday evening 26^th November The Courtyard partners held an evening event to show off progress at the development and partner Joe Larter reported a very good reception for their ideas.

Two Norfolk entrepreneurs have joined forces to bring an historic Great Yarmouth building back into use as a thriving modern-day cultural centre where local artisans can live and work and be visited by the public.

The Courtyard, offering creative working space has launched a new website – www.the-courtyard.co.uk – on Monday, 9 November, 2009.

Following the enthusiasm shown at the launch of The Courtyard scheme in December, the Partners have announced an opening date for the whole scheme to be completed and occupied.
